“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chron 7:13-14

CPPC meeting at St Mary-in-Castro, Dover Castle, Wed 12th Feb 11am – 4pm
A reminder that this Wednesday we meet to pray and worship together in St Mary-in-Castro, Dover Castle, with time to seek the Lord for the way forward for Dover, the Cinque Ports and the nation.
Please bring a packed lunch as necessary. Tea and coffee provided, with thanks to David for making it possible for us to meet in this historic church within the castle.
On arrival at the entrance drive leading into Dover castle there is a small ticket booth. If that is operating you need to explain that you have come for a meeting in the church hall, otherwise just proceed (when the green light shows!) through the tunnel and on up to the top where you may park in an appropriate place on the flat area. You then need to walk up the slope to the church hall where the door is at the far end.
This is a very critical time for Dover Castle as the army is pulling out, and many far reaching decisions are being made about the future of this very strategic castle. Even if you can’t come on Wednesday, please ask the Lord to show us how we should be praying and/or any other action that needs to be taken in the coming days.
Thank you for your encouragement and prayer. May the Lord strengthen, bless and guide each one of us into His perfect will for the time ahead.
Bless you so much,
We had a great gathering together this last thursday with 8 people sharing and encouraging one another in faith and love. Thanks to all who attended and for your contribution. Look forward to next week lunchtime at 1pm.
There is also a prayer breakfast for all those early birds on Tues at 6.45am to 8pm at Steve’s. Please txt him if you plan to join in. GB

For those who want to join in seeking God’s Presence and Power we pray openly together for at least an hour as the Spirit inspires us. We wait for His glory to transform us into his likeness by grace.
After 1 hr we break to leave or have refreshments – some may carry on as inspired until up to 3am.
Positive Fasting and Prayer
Jesus often inspires us to fast and deny our flesh for periods of time to focus in intercession for his purposes and to achieve humility in our hearts and obedience to his word. This is not set at an official time but as each individual is inspired and led by the Spirit.
Some are currently in this time so may not be eating or drinking when others do during gatherings.
Please be open to times of repentance and fasting as a powerful way to humble ourselves before Jesus. If you are old or have a medical condition please seek wise advice before fasting. God Bless!
